Minette Batters has been re - elect as President of the NFU to represent the interests of more than 46,000 husbandman and agriculturalist across England and Wales .

Mrs Batters , a boeuf granger from Wiltshire , will service as President for another two years alongside Stuart Roberts as Deputy President and Tom Bradshaw as Vice President .

The election read space after the AGM of the NFU Council , a representative body made up of its elected member , follow the NFU ’s one-year league .

Mrs Batters said : “ I am so majestic to be capable to stand for the NFU ’s 46,000 farmer and grower members at this decisive time when the future for Britain ’s food and farming industry will be shaped .

“ The next distich of yr are going to be dispute for our sphere and we need the farming industry to talk with one voice ; whether its campaigning to ensure our solid food standard are n’t sabotage by trade deals that let sub - standard intellectual nourishment imports into the country , or make for with the government , stakeholders and wider diligence to go the global burster in produce mood - well-disposed food . I am determined that the NFU will do everything in its power to lead our industry into a profitable , fertile and thriving future .
