There ’s one garden in San Miguel de Allende , Mexico that ’s known to residents and visitors likewise and it ’s “ El Jardin ” right in the centerfield of the Colonial metropolis . What ’s interesting and even iconic about this metropolis park is the way the Tree are snip – into always - perfect unconditional vault of heaven . Here you see them behind Miss San Miguel in the recent Independence Day Parade . ( On my visit I was disabuse of the notion that Cinco de Mayo is Mexican Independence Day – patently that ’s only lionise in the States . South of the border , September 16 is the twenty-four hours . )

In an upscale part of this upscale townspeople I found some dramatic planting ornament shops .

As in so much of the world , the beautiful private garden here are behind walls . Frustrating ! But I gravel to see a few secret gardens , like the interior court of my sister ’s house , show below .
From her hillside menage I could see down into some pretty nice gardens , demonstrate above and below .
These last picture suggest at the splendor of the three Villa where my niece ’s wedding took position , and most of the invitee stayed . Though they ’re humbly call “ casas , ” these 5 - million - buck estates are anything but . They ’re own by Houston oil phratry .
