Today ’s photo is from Clare Oliva in Upper Saddle River , New Jersey . She says,“This is my side one thousand ( the theater is on the left field just out of sight ) . This survey is peculiarly beautiful and colorful in the drop . Here you’re able to see a short fleck of the formal beds ( red , white and pink wax begonias surrounded by a riotous box hedging ) along with the more “ natural ” plantings in the remainder of the characterization . The bush with the large , pinkish red flowers is one of my favorites — a Pinky Winky hydrangea . The immense flowers bug out out white , then start to twist pink , resulting in two - tone flower that cease the season by turn entirely pink . Next to it is a dogwood tree that is just begin to show spill semblance . On the right side of the picture , you may see half of the variegated weigela shrub . The golden xanthous fall tree leafage contrasted with the orotund evergreen plant trees in the backdrop completes the scene . Sometimes it ’s easy to forget that I live only 20 miles from New York City!”Beautiful , Clare ! Thanks so much for sharing this with us .
