Garden solace during a stressful year
Today we ’re visiting Pallavi Divekar ’s garden in Naperville , Illinois .
Once again it ’s my pleasure to apportion the pictures of my garden with nature lovers and plant lovers . It give me immense expiation and calmness when I drop time in my preferent space — my garden ! I can work nonstop in my garden for five to six hours at a timedividingand moving perennials .
This picture is from outflow , when my garden flower bulge out with numerous bulbs , include thesetulips . Beautiful colourful blooms add sunshine after the cold winters for certain .

This Cercis canadensis tree(Cerciscanadensis , Zones 4–8 ) depend so pretty in give with pink red bud and the rainbow tulips I have constitute underneath — a show - stopper for spring flower .
Not much behind are the bearded irises(Irisgermanicahybrids , Zones 4–10 ) that are waiting to show off their bloom once the tulip are done . Their timing is perfect , as there ’s always something blooming in the yard to apprize .
Right around Mother ’s Day the lavender and snowy lilacs(Syringavulgaris , Zones 3–7 ) and the cherry and white crabapple trees(Malusspp . ) are blossoming , tote up a depth of people of colour to the backyard , while the front grand gets these daisies(Leucanthemum× superbum , Zones 4–9 ) around the mailbox arena that put on quite a show .

This year I volunteer to teach basic horticulture lessons online through Zoom . These Zoom sessions find really popular and bring the great unwashed of similar spare-time activity together . I teach how to make your own pots with potpourri of flowers by buy flats of flowers , as the planters with annuals get pretty expensive .
In this pandemic we really did n’t have human visitant , but I did have a few nonhuman visitors greeting me each day in my thousand . I loved having bee , butterflies , and hummingbirds .
This flame nettle is from last twelvemonth . Though it ’s anannualin my zone , I save it indoors through water propagation and imbed it out again in the spring . It has been quite a delectation to watch .

This entire summer the curtilage has kept me pretty busy with chores , and it has been so restful and passive external respiration in fresh air and get wind the birds chirp and being close to nature . My husband help me plan a small pathway , and it was an incredible DIY project .
And last but not least was this year ’s show - stopper of my yard — this beautifuldahlia(Dahlia variabilis , zone 8–10 or as a tenderbulb ) . I saved the tubers from last yr and planted them in June , never expect the efflorescence to be as bountiful as a dinner plate . Last yr they were n’t this big .
