Jay Sifford showcases the iconic element of the Pacific Northwest in this unique initiation .
" My crew and I just complete the installment of our show garden at the 2017 Southern Spring Home and Garden Show in Charlotte , NC . The show subject is “ America the Beautiful ” . I chose to plan a contemporaneous timber garden that could easy be found in the Pacific Northwest , and telephone it “ Left Coast Garden Magic ” , as I ’m currently all about witching , illusion and art in my garden designs .
This garden is a deconstructed and reconstructed garden , so the iconic or unimaginative component that one thinks of when conceive of the Pacific Northwest are represented here : rainfall , piss , island , conifer woodland , fern , moss and glass art . They are pulled asunder so that they can be studied on their own , then they are put back together in the left half of the garden . A “ levitating ” tree branch is plumbed so that it “ rains ” into the reflecting consortium , which is host to 22 float trash spheres . The “ island ” is a untarnished steel rectangle that hosts 5 blown field glass arum lily lilies and legion farfugium . The electric calcined lime portal leads to a triptych of crimson swash looking glass bamboo which integrate well with the bouncy black bamboo . The way of life then disappear behind one of 5 large cryptomerias . Sixty pots of daffodils deluge the way with color , and a stone leaf mosaic and red camellia petal top the oculus down the nerve tract to the red glass bamboo . "
