The world of houseplant has n’t been without its trend : at first it was cacti and succulents , then the total reality seemed to hazard to be tropic for a little bit , and now … well , it ’s either variegated or pinkish . Take your pick .

But what ’s fit to pass off in 2020 ? I ask a handful of flora friends and fellow expert what they think will be big next yr , and pitch in with my own suggestion , the Kalanchoe ‘ Dolly ’ .
