After watching the news program of COVID-19 in other countries in late winter of 2020 of what was peradventure about to happen in the United States , my kinsperson adjudicate to lift some chickens . Let me start by saying I have always want chickens .
We are golden to have bought one of the few remaining with child lot overlooking Lake Travis in central Texas . My wonderful husband built me a dream nontextual matter studio apartment on our land ( I ’m an artistic production pedagog ) , which I share with our community for camps , workshop and , now , chickens .

Getting Cooped Up
I require a family project to make with my twinned male child ( Adrien and Julien ) during this clip . So the Thursday of spring break , I preordered a chicken chicken coop . That Friday , after I leave school day , Adrien , Julien and I proceed to the farm - supplying store and purchased some baby chicks .
We drive home listen to the beautiful chirping of the fresh chicks now in our care . I secernate my boy that Daddy might not be happy with this , but he loves us and will get over it !
Needless to say , my loving and supportivehusband quickly got over his initial understanding . He soon bear our new troop of friends . He even helped us in set up the cage and fencing in the crybaby running sphere , installing an automaticdoor and creating a few inflexible bench swings and roosting surface area .

A Poultry Palette
As an art educator , I love rainbows and colouration , and our area for wimp was no exception .
